You've just awoken from a dream…

In the dream... You were running away from something…
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Perhaps you still are…
CLICK TO CONTINUE
What is this place?
CLICK TO CONTINUE
It seems almost cold….
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Except... You don't feel a thing...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Everything is moving so slow...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Its... Disorienting... Gorgeous... Poetic...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
It feels so real... Yet not at all...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
A queasiness begins to creep in…
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Maybe you can feel something after all...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
The sickness rises as you begin to realize how large this place is...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Almost as if...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
This entire city... is downloading into your subconscious...
CLICK TO CONTINUE
Must... get... to a safe… space…
"Hello there. You're a quick one. You must be new here."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Welcome to Andantis. Our Beloved Mayor built this city on an infrastructure of data."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"This worked incredibly well, as we grew beyond our wildest imaginations."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"A day came that the data centers unfortunately couldn't handle it anymore."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Everything felt a little bit slower. We expected it to get back to normal. Then it just… didn't…"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"It continued to slow. On top of that, the Mayor has been missing for… quite a while now."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"The only thing we can do is to maintain productivity and the flow of commerce as well as we can without his leadership."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Everything here is on a lag. Everything in the infrastructure moves at a snail's pace."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"And If you stay here for long, you'll end up moving slow too. Forever…"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"We have… all adjusted to it, and we all work together here, which is good for the soul, I suppose…"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"But, what I wouldn't give for just a few seconds of your brevity."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I wouldn't stay here long if I were you. Our sister city is nearby, and it's conversely powered by a magnet system and high velocity steel machines."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"As large as our skyscrapers, moving faster than the eye can see. They're working against great magnetic force, creating a whirlwind of energy."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I don't quite understand how it works, but everything there seems quite the opposite of Andantis, fast and frenzied."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"It wears on the emotions of everyone that gets close to it. There's a loud vibrating hum that makes you uneasy. They call it 'The Iron Drone'"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I wouldn't go see for myself, at my old pace, But I would encourage you to head that way."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Perhaps, you want to be stuck in Andantis. Maybe you do, and I'm sure you would be welcomed."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Who knows, you could be the one that makes it to the Ninth!"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"With that in mind, I do have a few items for sale that may help in your travels."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"You should know, we are only one of two cities that still use currency, so you won't need much else going forward."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"You can make it to the next city with no money, but these items can help. Why not help an old man out before you go?"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"So… Ya buying anything?"
"That'll be $2.50."

The Salesman hands you a worn newspaper clipping.
MAYOR BASTOW STILL MISSING
"It has now been a year since we have seen Mayor Bastow. He was last seen near the XW Industries Building, his former employer in the 1990s. Many point to his long withheld stance against the Torque Induction System, nicknamed The Iron Drone, which we all know as the system that runs the nearby industrial city, Magneti…"
The rest of the page is torn.
"That'll be $5"

The salesman unfolds a faded map.
You see three cities marked:
- ANDANTIS
- MAGNETICA
- LOGERRO
The rest of the map is blank or faded beyond recognition.
"Oh, Wow! Please be gentle!"
"That'll be $10"

The Salesman places a small glowing capsule in your hand.
It pulses with a faint light. On it, you can barely make out text that reads:
"MAGNETICA ACCESS - CONFIRMED"
The Salesman nods understandingly.
You turn to leave the alley.
The salesman calls after you: "Make it to the Ninth!"
Andantis stretches on. Or maybe it loops back forever.
Everything moves slowly.
Maybe you should move faster.
What was that other City's name?
"Hello there. You're a quick one. You must be new here."
As beautiful as it is, and as welcoming as the people seem, you probably shouldn't stay here.
The sickness will only worsen until you're stuck at their pace forever.
You must find a way to the next city.
Where could the next City be?
(Hint: Use the address bar)
"Hey, speed freak, you're freaking me out, man! I got anxiety!"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I'm a refugee, I grew up around all the crazies!"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Right in the heart of The Iron Drone!"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I got out of there as soon as I could. Andantis is like a sanctuary for me, but its still hard to adjust."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Especially with you speed freaks running around like that, it triggers my Post Torque Stress Disorder. Just be courteous, will ya?"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten onto you like that... Its not the Andantis way."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Maybe you're a refugee too, no?"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"It took me months to get over the adjustment sickness. I wouldn't wish that hell on anybody. And now I'll be this way forever."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I'll never be able make it to the Ninth or anything like that, not that anyone does."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I'll just stay here for the rest of my days."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Its worth it... At least that's what I tell myself... Ya know?"
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I just can't stand the thought of those machines… but mentally, I can't get away from 'em..."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"The stench...The crazies... That awful sound..."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"I cant even bring myself to say the name of that wicked place."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"You know, its funny, In Japan, they named it Shunkan, but the Europeans call it Actionloop."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Well I guess its funny. I got a funny way of thinking sometimes."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Hey, I gotta go. Be safe out there."
CLICK TO CONTINUE
"Get to the Ninth, will ya?"
